Supporters - Wakefield FC Supporters Club
We know feel we have turned the corner and the club is now on the up again, why, you may ask, what has changed.
In October we welcomed back our most successful manager in the clubs long history Ronnie Glavin. Ronnie was responsible for our success in the late nineties culminating in our successful FA Cup run in season 97/98 when in January 1998 we reached the 3rd round of the competition playing West Ham United at Upton Park in front of almost 20,000. We lost the game 2-1 to a John Hartson goal in the 82nd minute. We hope this will be repeated in the near future. We know it will be difficult, but who knows.
The club needs to encourage more people to watch the games and get involved with the club, come along see what Non League football is all about.
We have a nice compact ground at College Grove, where on match days you can sample the atmosphere at the touch line, enjoy a drink in the bar, sample a burger, have a seat in our 300 seater grandstand, have chance to win a small fortune in our half time draw, but most of all see lads who want to play football trying to win every game and entertain the whole family.
As a 10 year celebration of the Cup run we are offering a membership of our supporters club for the rest of this season, this will also include entrance to all our remaining games this season including reserve, under 19s and 14 first team games, plus there will also be a members draw at each first team game for a club shirt worth £20.
