Getting There
Wakefield came very close to bringing some points home to Yorkshire.
Ever improving Wakefield can count themselves unlucky not to have returned home with something out of this end to end game.
Woodley played some excellent possesion football in the first half, but it was Wakefield who took the lead following good approach play Peskett was fouled in the area, new captain Josh Grant made no mistake from the spot.
Woodley were always going to come out for the second half bombing and did so and scored within a minute when Bradley Maylett netted.
Wakefield didn't get dismayed and Jarrod Wallace hit the post after good play from Peskett.
Peskett and Oxley had chances to score for Wakefield, but couldn't convert, Darren Thornton had a re-ocurrance of his ankle injury and was replaced by Hardaker.
Despite tireless work from Wakefield especially from Grant 7 Marsden, it was to no avail as in the 82nd minute following an error from Bleau, Joey Holt grabbed the winner for Woodley.
Wakefield face the long trip to high flying Witton Albion next Saturday.
