Wakefield take big boys all the way
AFC Fylde moved closer to the League title, but the Bears took them all the way.
AFC Fylde are chasing the League title, Wakefield FC are chasing League survival, it was Fylde who came out of the blocks the faster and absolutely battered the Bears in the first 15 minutes, eventually making a breakthrough in the 19th minute when Richard Allen netted. Fylde's winger Paul Jarvis was the thorn in Wakefield's side, finding space out wide and driving at the Bears defence consistently.
Wakefield did settle after half an hour, but only saw Moke's shot all half.
The second half was a more even contest, but Wakefield lost right back Harrop with a broken finger and Blair with a hamstring pull, Alali and Sheriffe replacing them, Craig Harding also replaced Myles Smith in midfield with the intention of thwarting Fylde's play.
The Bears were unlucky not to grab a precious point as Normaschild went close with a header and Moke with a curling free kick.
It doesnt get any easier as Wakefield travel to Farsley on Easter Monday.
